Many still do not understand how important the issue of education is in our country. Some just think education is merely a path to wealth and prosperity, but education in America used to be part of the real American Dream and that was to do all things for the glory of God. Our literacy rate during the early years was actually quite high due to John Calvin’s influence upon the first settlements. Since then, we have taken a turn and allowed humanists to indoctrinate our children, leading us from independence and the blessings of God to slavery and dependence upon government.

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding. -Job 28:28
Come, you children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. Who is the man who desires life And loves length of days that he may see good? Keep your tongue from evil And your lips from speaking deceit. Depart from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are toward the righteous And His ears are open to their cry. The face of the LORD is against evildoers, To cut off the memory of them from the earth. -Psalm 34:11
Which we have heard and known, And our fathers have told us. We will not conceal them from their children, But tell to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, And His strength and His wondrous works that He has done. For He established a testimony in Jacob And appointed a law in Israel, Which He commanded our fathers That they should teach them to their children, That the generation to come might know, even the children yet to be born, That they may arise and tell them to their children, That they should put their confidence in God And not forget the works of God, But keep His commandments, And not be like their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation, A generation that did not prepare its heart And whose spirit was not faithful to God. -Psalm 78:3-8
Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses. -Psalm 107:13
Teach me good judgment and knowledge: for I have believed thy commandments. -Psalm 119:66
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction. Hear, my son, your father’s instruction And do not forsake your mother’s teaching; Indeed, they are a graceful wreath to your head And ornaments about your neck. -Proverbs 1:7-9
My son, do not forget my teaching, But let your heart keep my commandments; for they will add length to your days, years and peace to your life. Never let loving devotion or faithfulness leave you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart… Blessed is the man who finds wisdom, the man who acquires understanding,… The LORD founded the earth by wisdom and established the heavens by understanding. By His knowledge the watery depths were broken open, and the clouds dripped with dew. -Proverbs 3:1-3, 13, 19-20
Then, this extensive article from Encyclopedia Britannica on Calvin. (*Note the City of Geneva and its shallow roots. It is an easier way to see how the same city, would many years later become the meeting spot for so much globalistic garbage, especially from the UN).
