Anti Fed Ed Warriors, have you ever seen a more troubled time in education, here in the US? I don’t think I have. The COVID-19 Era has skewed everything we know about how life is supposed to be. It’s also killing true education.
The latest ‘smoking gun’ evidence, is the recent publication by the U.S. Dept. of Education. Titled “Supporting Child and Student Social, Emotional, Behavioral, and Mental Health”, this over 100 page report shows the lows our government has sunken to in order to further the cradle to grave educratic manipulation of us all. (*Note: you can access the entire report, here, by clicking on the link embedded in the Press Release.)
This overreach also can be tied to a recent letter by the U.S. House of Representatives’ Education and Labor Committee seeking evidence that parents are being ‘engaged’ enough per the ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) mandates for such. (*Note: you can access the letter by clicking on the highlighted link in the press release I’ve included above.)The takeaway point here, is simply that there’s NO reason to question IF the federal government is doing enough to engage parents..It’s UNCONSTITUTIONAL to begin with!!
BOTH moves by our government are using COVID-19 Era as the ends to justify the means, Warriors.
Why is the letter such a concern? Because the ‘engagement’ questions being asked are a set-up for more control by government at ALL levels.
Rep. Foxx, is a long time CCSS Machine member and has been known to claim ‘All education is Career Tech Education’. As such, the SEL, mental and behavioral health components are included as ‘soft skills for employment’! Nowhere is Rep. Foxx seeking to find out how the academics are going, only that the parents are somehow involved.
Warriors, my point is simply this, what the federal government is seeking isn’t so much partnering with parents in education, but CONTROLLING them! You only need to look at the recent Biden Administration use of the FBI and parental punishments.
Warriors, while the letter by the House Republicans will take some time to be answered, it’s the newest U.S. Dept. of Education Report, I’ll spend the majority of this article on. Why? It’s THAT awful. The plans for parental control and family overreaches in your community have been in the works since BEFORE ESSA became a law. With the applied ‘crisis mode’ the federal government is in, only stepped the controlling of parents up by a thousand-fold. The focal point being used against us isn’t simply control, it’s all that COVID-19 Era money being thrown at education.
The U.S. Dept. Of Education’s Latest SEL Mental Health ‘Savior’ Moves:
Warriors, the overall tone of the Report can be summed up as government help. Read the disclaimer to see what I mean.
Then, the CDC’s idea of what mental health should be. (see page 1)
It’s on Page 2 that the CDC definition of recommended actions is sanctioned by the U.S. Dept. of Education.
Page 3 states that COVID-19 has created a mental health crisis that only the American Rescue Plan can save. If you will recall, several of my
articles on the Trump and Biden COVID-19 relief laws go into detail about, not saving us, but in controlling us.
Over on Page 4, you’ll find that the SEL and mental health overreaches are to become comprehensive (aka: all encompassing and, thus, controllable) AS WELL as school based activities.
On Page 5, the justification for MORE DATA tracking is given in the guise that the government must know all the statistics in order to create all the solutions. In other words, an excuse to expand federal jurisdiction in your community. You’ll also see more data tracking/control on Pages 18, 19, 20, 21, 23, 24 and 29.
Governor Inslee of WA is also featured. Inslee is a well-known CCSS Machine puppet. His rule over WA has included many moves which not only support massive data intrusion, but ACES (Adverse Childhood Experiences) as a part of the community-wide manipulation of SEL. (*Note: several other States were mentioned as beacons of change for education to include massive amounts of mental health overreaches into families and communities, not just public schools.)
Page 15 suggests that all the mental health angst can be summarized and labeled as ‘unmet mental health needs’. The solution? A federal government umbrella approach (because the umbrella approach via Title One’s shift from ESSA wasn’t enough). If you don’t see the umbrella reference in the Report, look for streamlined control.
As part of the universal screening (to include whole communities, look for the ‘underserved’ populations of students on Page 26. This will certainly bring the phrase ‘cradle to grave’ to life. This also ties into Page 19’s of ‘wellness’ in the government’s context, not necessarily yours or your doctor’s.
Page 21 will show you that normalizing everyone in the COVID-19 Era is key to the success of the SEL/mental/behavior grasp of this Report. Justifying this is found on Page 27, where the government plans to intervene into your life sooner. How? Page 29 explains the use of the ESSER funds, expansion of government services and interventions, as well as leveraging funds against us via community health programs. Page 33 lays out the community health assessments and Page 34 proves ‘universal screening’ is a reality for us, not a tin foil hat conspiracy.
Throughout the Report, you’ll not only see several States mentioned, but you can find the WHO, SAMSHA, The Education Trust, The American School Counselors Assoc., the Office of Civil Rights; as well as federally based ‘technical support’ for mental health. There are also 14 different federally funded nationally run/controlled Centers involved in this U.S. Dept. of Education Report. If it’s not funded via the U.S. Dept. of Education, it’s funded by the U.S. Dept. of Health/Human Services. You’ll also see systems called “Check In, Check Out” or “Check & Connect”, even “Check, Connect, Expect”. What are these? Education based control programs to daily reward you (or to punish you) on your behavior and conduct.

3) This one, also from 2019 on my blog, goes into examples from KS, MN, and other States already imposing on families in the name of education via in-home visits and other school based programs.
4) As far as the PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) mentioned numerous times in the U.S. Dept of Ed Report, goes; here are the archives I have. The image is what I want you to focus on, however. With universal screenings, this is what we will face. As far as how it can be applied in the COVID-19 Era, it’s a safe bet that those who measure up in ways the government frowns upon, will be the ones most micro-managed.
5) The Check/Connect Checklist, notice where families are inserted.
6) The mentoring and school counseling got the SEL/CCSS Machine makeover during Pres. Obama’s days. Here, is where I laid out how the government overreach was going to use these people to promote a career track based education full of soft skills for better employment opportunities.
7) In 2019, the ‘mentoring’ was called ‘success coaching’. See how similar this has become to what we see now in the name of COVID-19.
