Warriors, have you noticed our States appear to have a “Mary Poppins Complex” when it comes to giving us terrible education news? What do I mean by a “Mary Poppins Complex”? It was the attitude Julie Andrews portrayed when she had medicine to give the kids, but it was given with ‘a spoonful of sugar’ to make it more appealing.
When it comes to education, there’s been a lot of sugar coating going on. Especially since we were ‘given’ ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act). Especially when it came to our students mental health.
Back in 2016, I showed you the federal ‘spoonfuls of sugar’ being shoved down our student’s throats as far as SEL (Social Emotional Learning). Especially the youngest students. From that article, look below:
With the increase in SEL (Social emotional learning) this type of ‘medicine’ is only getting more toxic for our students.
Ironically, in 2010, Edutopia literally laid out the ‘selling points’ for SEL. Among them? Less school violence and bullying using SEL because, after all ‘the whole child’ is being educated.

Some Startling News:
Back in 2017, Natural News shared this headline:
In this 2017 article, it’s revealed that one in every six adults is on some type of psychotropic drug. For children, the number is even bigger.
Of the over 1 million cited, over half this group is in the 4-5 year old age group. Roughly 275,000 of the 1 million are less than a year old! Those ages 2 to 3 are estimated to be somewhere near 371,000. From 6-12 years old, the numbers are frightening at just over 4 million children in the US.
Below are some figures from IMS Health (a healthcare technology/patient data tracking company) about our kids, most of whom are in schools across the nations, regardless of what type of school. (Source for all the figures seen below.)
(*Note: Figures are from 2013/14; IMS Health has since with Quintiles and is now known as Iqvia.)
From Iquiva’s 2016 Annual Report (latest available), you’ll find that
a) it’s a global company
b) billions of dollars in prescription drugs and related services
c) massive data tracking and mining
d) the company helps drive drug prices
e) is big into clinical trials and biomedicine (including wearable tracking devices)
f) conducts medical research and development

“Mary Poppins Complex” In Education:
While I will state that I do not support the Church of Scientology, a mental health watchdog group associated with them has published a “Child Drugging: Psychiatry Destroying Lives” report. Chapter One exposes the long line of educational demise at the hands of psychometric drugs.
John Dewey’s description from the Report, “JOHN DEWEY, psychologist and promoter of
the “man is an animal” theory, labeled the urge to teach children to read early in life a “perversion,” and advocated that schools should take on the role of social, rather than academic, institutions.”
G. Stanley Hall’s description, “G. STANLEY HALL, first president of the American Psychological Association, explained education for the masses was not necessary. “We must overcome the fetishism of the alphabet, of the multiplication tables, of grammar,” he said. “It would be no serious loss if a child never learned to read.”
This is an excerpt from Chapter One we can easily connect to ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act)
“In the 1960s and ’70s, psychological programs known collectively as Outcome Based Education (OBE) were introduced into schools. Psychiatrists and psychologists, who directed the philosophy of OBE, claimed that three sources of stress had to be eliminated from schools: 1) school failure 2) a curriculum centered around academics and
3) disciplinary procedures. School failure was the chief villain, they said, leading to “feelings of inferiority,” behavior problems like truancy and an unsocial attitude.*
Walking arm in arm, psychology and psychiatry set the stage for the collapse of education at a profit to themselves. In 1962, they received nearly a billion dollars in the United States alone for their role in education. Today, funds channeled to “special education” for psychiatrist-defined “learning disabilities” has reached $30 billion (23.6 billion UK pounds). However, the U.S. Department of Education found that 40% of the children being spuriously labeled with these “disorders” had simply never been taught to read.”
(*Note: the asterisk placed by ‘attitude’ referred to a Sol Cohen. I found his work housed in a Cambridge University archive. Look below for how Cambridge classified his work. In the link above, look for item #7 to see Cohen’s material.)
(*Note: In 2016, I showed you how Cambridge University was involved in the CCSS Machine as far as assessments.)
From this historical evidence, it appears Cohen’s work has been used several times since it was written. One of the last times was in 1979 during the “Private Philanthropy and Public Elementary and Secondary Education; Proceedings of the Rockefeller Archive Center“ Conference. (*Note: as you scroll down the list of Conferences look at the titles, the agenda items. You’ll see ‘patronizing the public’; ‘children at risk’, and so much more!)
This is a bold piece of evidence for P3s (public private partnerships) in education.
As we know, the Rockefellers are CCSS Machine members.
(*Note: the screen shot above is from the sample pages for the Conference Booklet. You can order and download for free, the entire Booklet. You’ll want to read all of the pages!)
Warriors, OBE lives in ESSA in the form of CBE (Competency Based Education) aka: College and Career Readiness/Career Pathways, etc. ESSA codified OBE through Common Core’s re-brands as well as STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and, Math) and CTE (Career Tech Education).
***********************************************************************
According to the video below, ESEA (Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965) embedded mental health services (and thus treatments including medications). As we know ESSA codified everything which was in ESEA.
It also points out to the overall idea those in charge had: schools would better serve communities as mental health facilities NOT academic institutions. At least 20 million school children are diagnosed with some form of mental disorder (as of this video’s publication). Diagnosing them? School psychologists in a matter of minutes. You’ll also hear from parents how their children (forced to use these types of drugs) share violent behaviors increased (remember Edutopia’s sale pitch of decreased violence with SEL tactics?).
Warriors, we’ve often heard how the US academic standings have fallen, but do we hear (as often) the numbers for mental disorders is RISING? If anything is to blame for the demise of our students it would be the CCSS Machine’s grasp on education AND healthcare.
Related Resources Mentioned in the 10 Minute Video:
*The Proceedings of the Mid-Century White House Conference on Children and Youth’s Highlights reveal a quite a few agenda items concerning how mental health, ‘whole child’ learning and more intersect.
*To see the ERIC resource for the White House Conferences on Children (you’ll really want to use the zoom in feature and search feature), go here. (*Note: you’ll see that one of the historic Conferences referred to America as a ‘democracy’, as well as what was the nation’s assumption of the government’s responsibility in education.) The 1950 Conference is the one which laid the groundwork for mental health provisions in ESEA.
From the National Archives, this excellent trail of evidence will lead you to the mental health grab we are seeing.
*Here’s the 1998 Consensus Development Conference document. You’ll need to note that while this document does contain mental health information, you’ll also see the Rand Corporation, the U.S. National Institutes of Health, the Delphi method, and more.
*Also mentioned in the video was the National Education Consortium (NEC). Below is a screen shot of the article where the NEC’s Director and Tom DeWeese (American Policy Center) address the mental health grab for students:

As far as the ‘psychological’ mandates in the original ESEA and its newer version, ESSA?
*1965’s law (ESEA) had one mandate (Page 41) where ‘psychological services’ were to be among all the other supportive measures to help educationally deprived children. There were other, more general mandates for mental health, but only one specifically for psychological manipulation.
2015’s law (ESSA) has 4 mandates. Specialized school staff, two types of psychological services for Native Americans, and, school based mental health services providers.
Warriors, this doesn’t include the number of times ‘mental health’ was embedded in ESEA/ESSA. That number? Seventeen. See below:
***********************************************************
Not in the video, but helpful:
*Medical Expenditure Panel Survey (MEPS) information from the U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services. Look at the ‘children’s health’ information.
*Daily Behavior Report Cards (DRC) from Dr. Kurtz show exactly what your students are measured on (as far as mental health) on a daily basis from 2017. Kurtz is a world-wide renown expert on ADHD.
*School counselors are being used against families to steer students towards Career Pathways (Obama Initiative) as well as Behavioral Standards. While both articles are archived, the alignment lives on in 2018.
*Look in your State for ‘school safety’ legislative committees or legislation. Mental health has been implanted as a behavior management tool. These types of moves not only adhere to a federal mandate, but answer the rallying cries of those who seek to turn schools into mental health facilities. Here’s proof from NC:
*NASP (National Association of School Psychologists) suggests more mental health care providers among our students. Guess what, that’s an ESSA’s mandate!
Warriors, what number does your State have? NC’s pushing for more providers/funds to satisfy ESSA’s mandate.
So the question is: Does my State value its federal spoonful of ‘fed led education medicine’ MORE than my student?
Where is the protest over this reality?! Any education dollar more important than people is dirty money, Warriors!!

*What’s in your State for ‘comprehensive’ psychology services?

Closing:
Warriors, what you see above is a long list of bitterness wrapped up in sugar. “Mary Poppins” would be ashamed if she were a real person.
Our US Government and States should be charged with illegally profiling our kids when it comes to their mental health in these parameters.
I understand there are citizens who truly NEED mental health care. I am NOT opposed to that at all.
However, the types of moves ESEA/ESSA and the CCSS Machine have made are not specific to this unique population, rather it encompasses ALL citizens as somehow mentally in need of services. WHY? More mental health labels means more federal dollars. More federal dollars means more federal control. Schools are not serving up academics anymore. Save your kids and their minds!
Help end the “Mary Poppins Complex” of the government.
Another excellent piece of research. We must ask ourselves…..how much information and research has to be done before parents stand up and fight back?? It just blows me away when I read this stuff and then do not see a mass exodus from the public school system which cannot be fixed. In order to fix something it needs to first be broken. The public school system is not broken. It is now working exactly as planned 100 years ago. It just took this long to gradually make the moves to get us where we are today. The sad part is as they were implementing the agenda of dumbing down Americans so they become obedient slaves they also convinced parents to give up their role as a parent.
Iqvia’s mission statement seems to be written by an AI. Thank you for sending along this information.
